iTunes, the 80s, and Wrestler Crushes

I downloaded and installed iTunes 4.1.1 for Windows on my home PC last week after reinstalling MusicMatch Jukebox. PJ Doland of the Frosty Mug Revolution tipped me off to the iTunes release in a previous entry, if you’ll recall. Well, another commenter, Rickey of rickey.org, wanted to know how it went.

Simply put, I like it. I think I’ve found my replacement. I’ve been importing (not “ripping”) my CDs into MP3 format all week with this program, and the quality and speed is much better than MusicMatch.

I’ve also been catching “I Love the 80s Strikes Back” on VH1 all week. Thoroughly enjoyable TV, though I got tired of certain segments which got annoying. (”Unfinished Thoughts…” anyone? “What the Fuck?!”)

One of the featured commentators on “I Love the 80s Strikes Back” was WWE wrestler Chris Jericho. Makes me knida wish I payed more attention to wrestling. He’s hot, but not to the point where I’d have a stalkerish obsession (but I wouldn’t have blamed you, Michele).

Well, I’m just glad I finally let him out of my trunk.

iTunes is no good for me…the format does not work with my mp3 player. I prefer buymusic.com, although none of the pay sites has a very good selection yet.

Laura, I think that’s probably my only complaint: their format is pretty proprietary at the moment. Just the same, I don’t have an MP3 player, so it’s pretty moot for me.
