Layout Dilemmas, Part 2
I tinkered some more with the layout I mentioned in yesterday's entry. (And, mea culpa, I neglected to link to the new layout in question!)
I fixed the centering issue, though it still clings hopelessy to the left in IE/Win. I didn't get to playing with the PNG workaround, so I still have the gray background issue. I also didn't resolve the Flash transparency issue for Opera browsers, but that's an easy fix.
Now I'm concerned with trying to get the sidebar to line up at (or at least near) the top of the page. I suspect it's because I've been avoiding the use of CSS floats, so we'll see how that goes. I'm also considering upgrading the Scalable Inman Flash Replacement headlines to 2.0b from its current 1.4.
All in the name of progress, eh?
